Reading Stora HDD with Ubuntu

Well, it seems my stora isn't playing ball and I need to get the data off the drive. I've set up ubuntu on to a spare PC but I'm a complete beginner with Linux so the couple of posts I've read on here either have no pics to help or are just too confusing. Can anyone give a simple step by step guide to getting access to the data via ubuntu?

I've found and followed this method which has worked so far, just transfering the files to a new disk.Hope it helps others to get their data back.
