NTV300 Firmware needed

Not sure I'm in right place for this, but here goes... I sure miss the times (my son calls it dark ages since mfrs only now design their prods to be supported with a time-stamped for the nearest garbage dump) when US made products (all) actually outlived their expected retirement dates!

Would anyone have a copy or a URL source for firmware versions for this neoTV NTV300 streamer, PLEASE??

I think you mean the remote control.  There is a "check for update" function in settings.  There doesn't seem to be a way to manually install updates on this product.

I did what it said and it worked great, Its a manual update. Today i am searching because we got hit with two mayor hurricanes Irma and Maria and Two days ago i finally got light so.... I need to do it again, but i am having trouble locating in which file it is under, If you do find these instructions please let me know too.

I found it!!

The (hopeful) solution for NTV300SL's. Here's a link to the firmware from  registoni: http://http.updates1.netgear.com/ntv300sl/us/gm/NTV300SL_V1.1.56.bin. This is what he advised to do on his post:

If you download it and save it on your fat-32 formated usb flash in the folder UPG under name 8653_linux_demo_dbg.bin, then the player could be updated from the flash drive, no internet is required.
I am going to write to him to see if anything else is wrong with mine buhu

Just like to check back with you if the issue has been solved?

Based on your description of the issue, NTV300SL seems either booting or FW upgrading.

Did it came out fine? Are you able to watch TV now?
