Netgear genie A6100 wifi adapter Connected to router but not internet (no green check ; just red X)

Hi... my Netgear genie A6100 wifi adapter is connected to router (and from Home screen I see this in green text) but not internet (no green check is showing as usual before the internet globe- instead just a red X is showing).

I uninstalled the software and reinstalled it. Same issue.

No internet even though my home page says "Connected to the router".

I have test other computers and internet is fine. No changes, same router, just woke up today and not working.

Please assist.

I found the solution yestersay but this post would not let me reply to my own post or edit it.

I turned the router off for 2 minutes then back on.

After that it worked - but it was not a router issue as that was working already on another computer.

In any event, thank you for the reply.

Connection to the Internet is in the hands of the PC that you plugged the A6100 into. The adapter connects to the router's wifi, it is then up to Windows (I assume) to make the connection.

This confirms that there is nothing wrong with the adapter. So you need to investigate the networking status on the PC.

This is one place to start:

Fix Wi-Fi connection issues in Windows

Not really anything to do with Netgear.
