USB WiFi adapter continually needs reinstallation
Using an AC600 WiFi adapter on any USB 2.0 port on my Windows 7 32-bit PC. It repeatedly drops connection, especially if PC is returning from power-save mode. Device manager reports the hardware has no drivers. I have to remove device and then do the whole installation again for a few minutes of connection. Router is only a few paces away. Previous USB g adapter is ultra reliable in same USB ports.

Yes, but which one?
AC600 is not a reliable guide to model number. Many devices come with an AC tag, but it is essentially a label that Netgear, and other brands, attach to hardware to describe wifi speeds.
I'm guessing A6100.

Have you disabled "Sleep" mode for the USB device?

Re: USB WiFi adapter continually needs reinstallation
Another thing to try is uninstalilng the netgear utility/drivers and just use the standalone drivers for install.
