Re: ac1200 wifi usb adapter A6150 slow
What actual link speed is it connecting at?
throughput (actual speed) tends to be around 55-65% of what your link speed is.
And the A6150 is a mini adapter without much antenna size. So its not going to have a great connection back to the router.
Add in distance/obstruction and they aren't that fast of adapters.

Re: ac1200 wifi usb adapter A6150 slow
Hello, the vodafone wifi 6 station should go to 1000 or 2000, I', only 3 meters from the wifi modem with no obstructions, maybe there's some error in my config? Thanks

Re: ac1200 wifi usb adapter A6150 slow
It doesn't matter how fast the vodafone is. The A6150 is going to be the bottleneck.
Its a AC1200 device with is 867mbps 5ghz and 300mbps 2.4ghz (they don't combine during usage).
It fastest link speed is going to be 867mbps over 5ghz and that's if you're right next to the router.
And as I said, that's link speed, not actual throughput. Throughput (actual speed) is 55-65% of what the link speed is.
So that maximum you *might* see (with zero interference, sitting right next to the router) is going to be around that 400-500mbps.
Again, that's with zero interference, sitting next to the router, and with nothing else that can cause issues.
Add some distance/obstructions/interference in and the hitting 270mbps is about what you can expect from that device because its a micro-adapter with small antenna in it.
You will not hit 1000+ mbps on that device or even close to it.

Have you asked Vodafone what wifi speeds you can expect its router to deliver in the real world, rather than the fantasy land of marketing?
Vodafone has its own equivalent to this community:
Could be an other place to compare notes with fellow users.

Re: ac1200 wifi usb adapter A6150 slow
I only got 100/100 Mbit/s in my apartment. When I installed this dongle in Win 11 I got about 85/85 (okey speed) but now I only got 14/36. I have tested to change between AC and N but it doesn't make any difference. When I do ping and tracert I can't see any bottleneck to the Gateway and WAN. When I do the same test with my Smartphone in the same spot I get 63/80.

You have joined in on an existing conversation that may or may not have anything to do with your problems.
There is also a good chance that the official support team is busily monitoring new conversations and may miss your addition to this one.
If you do want help with your problem, check previous stuff that may be related then start your own discussion.
You could also add more details about the source of your wifi.

Re: ac1200 wifi usb adapter A6150 slow
Sorry for doing search for existing threads about slow A6150 and not creating a new thread. I have solved my problem by changing to another USB socket. I get 95/90 in a benchmark. Have a pleasant day and I'm really sorry to bother you #. Bye bye.
