adapter does not see routers at channel 12-14

I can not connect to channels 12-14 with this adapter.  is there any way to fix it please?  the routers I am connecting prefer those channels and I do not see the routers when they are using those channels

    Where are you located? 

    USA devices/routers only allow channels 1-11*(can use 12,13 but in low power mode so usually isn't even listed for consumer routers) while most of the rest of the world can use up to channel 13,14. this could create conflict if the router is set for EU and you're device is USA settings, it won't see/connect to the broadcasting channels. Something to check into.
