can't get netgear n900 dual usb adapter working properly

I have been trying to get this adapter working properly on my laptop but it keeps disconnecting randomly on this laptop only. I have tried it on other computers and it doesn't do this. i have updated all the drivers but i still can't figure out what is wrong if anyone knows what might be causing this problem please help

What about the laptop's own "chipset" drivers? Windows Update won't find those.

The best place to get those is probably on the maker's website.

I'm surprised that you have a laptop that needs a wifi adapter.
