I am having problems with my home network, which may be due to the cabling.
So as a basic starting point, I want to ensure that the cables are plugged into correct sockets. On this 5 port switch there are 5 sockets but no instructions on which cable to connect to which. First, which socket does the cable from the router go into? Does it matter which device cable (PC, printer ,scanner etc) goes into which socket?
Thank you

It doesn't matter which socket you use. They're all the same on such a switch.
