Hello,
I am looking for what the standard timout is for MAC aging on the Netgear JGS524 switch. I understand it cannot be changed as it is unmanaged, however i cannot find the pre-set value in the technical documentation for the switch.
Any assistance would be greatly apreciated.
Thanks,
Evan.

Re: MAC Aging on unmanage Switches
Hi evbreeden,
Welcome to the community! 🙂
I did a research about MAC aging on NETGEAR Unmanaged switches but found nothing. However, I found out that on NETGEAR Smart switches like the GS748Tv5, the default value of time the MAC address remains in the Dynamic MAC Address table is 300 seconds. I am not sure if the same default value also applies to NETGEAR Unmanaged switches like the JGS524. I may need to inquire about this.

Re: MAC Aging on unmanage Switches
Since it has been confirmed that the JGS524 has 300 seconds of default value of time the MAC address remains in the Dynamic MAC Address table, let us know if you have further questions.
