No switch exists in the local area network!

Hi,

i own a Netgear ProSafe GS105GE V4 which i bought in 2013.

to configure some multicast in my network i would like to configure the switch.

I installed different versions of ProSafe Plus Configuration Utility

v2.0.8, v2.3.5, V2.3.25

to et access to my switch.

I switched of my firewall and also added rules for th ports listed in the manual.

Still getting

No switch exists in the local area network!

Is the above switch not supported by the configuration software?

Re: No switch exists in the local area network!

Hi peterkreutzer,

Welcome to NETGEAR community!

Based on the current information, GS105GE doesn't belong to web managed (plus) switch and it cannot be found by plus utility.

Re: No switch exists in the local area network!

Hi peterkreutzer,

You can check your switch configuration, if your switch does not support to configure multicast, maybe it should not handle the multicast packet. If your switch support to configure multicast, you can disable it and check it whether to handle the multicast packet or not.
