WNDR3700 with GS116 Problems
Hi!
I have the following network:
Netgear GS116 16port gigabit switch.
on this switch my
Router ModelNetgear WNDR3700 v2/WNDR37AV v2/WNDR3800/WNDR38AV
Firmware VersionDD-WRT v3.0-r40559 std (08/06/19)
All worked, but today the LAN connection does not work anymore between GS116 and WNDR3700.
In my network I do only have one DHCP Server.
Only If I put another switch in the middle like the DS-1005D Gigabit Switch or anyone else.
What causes such problems?

Re: WNDR3700 with GS116 Problems
ok guys. right now I have the solution!!
If your switch is not able to cope with 1Gbit, all devices which have 1 Gbit and connected to the switch doesn't work.
In my case, the wifi router behind the switch couldn't connect.
So the solution was to open the GS116 switch. I just looked for the capacitors.
There are 2 different capacitors:
4 pices of 470uF 16V and
2 pieces of 820uF 6,4V
I changed one of the 820uF to a 820uF 16V. and now the swich can cope with 1Gbit again!
Very nice !!
bye Klaus
