where is the factory reset button on GS105v5

Where is the factory reset button on GS105v5? Like, literally where is it?

Model: GS105v5|ProSafe 5 ports gigabit switch

@firles,

Welcome to the community! 🙂

The GS105v5 does not have a web-GUI that you need to log into.  It is because it is a pass-through, unmanaged switch.  Its main purpose is to extend your local network that provides you additional ports to connect your devices such as PCs, network printer, gaming consoles, etc.

Nothing to reset - the GS105 are all non-managed devices, so nothing to reset.

But, in that case, how do I reset the password? I can't seem to log in to the switch.

Re: where is the factory reset button on GS105v5

Thank you! It's fixed.

I have no idea why/how, but I got frustrated and unplugged every single thing. Let them sit. Then rewired / plugged every single thing back in (only a few things really). And then it worked. Perhaps jsut sitting idle w/o power for a bit was enough to squash whatever the error was, but "working fine" is good enough for me 🙂
