105 switch and access point

I have an unmanaged 105 5-port Switch, I linked a Xclaim xi-2 AP to it, this leads to an unstable Wifi connection. When I take the switch out and connect the AP directly to the Router all is good. So the switch seems to be the problem. Any suggestions?

Re: 105 switch and access point

Hi @Stefan1010,

Welcome to the community! Smiley Happy

Since the GS105 switch is an unmanaged switch, there are no settings that we could check because its just a pass-through switch.  Kindly answer the questions below:

a. Are you using a GS105v5 (v = version)?

b. Was everything working fine before?

c. Have you tried to set a static IP address on the Xclaim xi-2 AP while its connected to the GS105 switch?  If not yet, kindly try to set a static IP address on the Xclaim xi-2 AP then check if the same problem will occur?

Regards,

DaneA
