Hello,
I have decided on the JS524 Switch for my network. In my pursuit I have seen a Model JGS524 V1. On your site there is no reference to it, only the JGS524 V2. Is the V1 a "knockoff" or merely disowned by Netgear 🙂
Thank you,
Ps. Aha! It is listed in the Model Section above. What is the difference between the V! and V2?
Thanks aghain.

I did a research about the JGS524v1 data sheet online. If ever you are still curious about it, you can download it here and you can also view it here.
For the JGS524v2 data sheet, you can download it here.
Here is a quick view of the differences between JGS524v1 and JGS524v2:
From the table above, it is advisable that you get the JGS524v2 instead of the JGS524v1.

Re: Model Identification of JGS524 Series Switch
Hi Sylwedydd,
Welcome to the community! 🙂
The JGS524v1 was already discontinued by NETGEAR. I also cannot find any information about the JGS524v1. If ever I find any information, I will post it on this thread.
I recommend you the JGS524v2 since this is the one that is available in the market and this is an enhancement of the JGS524v1.
Regards,
