6.1.7->6.1.9 need to reformat?
Hi,
Quick question. I have a Readynas 104. Is it safe to upgrade 6.1.7->6.1.9 or do I need to reformat? I had to do that in a previous update and i took ALOT of time to backup everything and I simply dont have the space anymore.
Thanks!

Re: 6.1.7->6.1.9 need to reformat?
There is no need to reformat after any firmware upgrade.
However regardless of whether you are going to update the firmware on your NAS or not it is advisable to make sure you have an up to date backup.

Thanks for the quick reply! Could have sworn I needed to do that going to 6.1.6 or 6.1.7. Could just be remembering wrong of course 🙂

Re: 6.1.7->6.1.9 need to reformat?
If you use high capacity disks in the 104 there is some benefit to doing a factory default on 6.1.5 (or later) but it's still optional. You have already done that.
