6.4.0 102 - No scheduled power on.

My 102 powers down and up on a schedule, this has been the case without issue for a long time. Since upgradig to 6.4.0 (from 6.2.5) it no longer comes up correctly. I find the power light flashing and the NAS is uncontactable. If I pull the power and then reapply power and press the power on button the NAS comes up OK. Thus has happened every morning since the upgrade. The upgrade itself seemed to go OK ad the NAS came up OK after the upgade reboot. As far as I can see nothingis written to any logs at the failed auto power ons. Suggestions?

Does it power down completely on schedule?

Do,you have any apps running?

Have you scheduled any volume maintenance that may have been running at shutdown?

Are the disks smart stats normal?

It certainly goes offline at the correct time. I'll check next time I'm around at night that it is completely off.

Bzeetr6 and AV plus are installed and cannot be stopped in the GUI so are 'running' but not busy. Other apps are stopped.

All my maintainance runs in the first few days of each month so was completed a few days prior to the upgrade.

SMART is all normal, yes.

I can now say it's the shutdown that is the issue - goes to a power light flashing state only and does not shut down. It's not startup that's the problem.

I did notice this in the Services.conf log :

 ENABLE_POWERON_TIMER_SUPPORT=0

That surprised me - is it right?

This is often due to a process stopping the shutdown.

Can you disable those 2 apps?

You are sure there are no running backup jobs?

Re: 6.4.0 102 - No scheduled power on.

Have now tried that - no change.

I can also say now that shutdown by any method fails. (Power button, ssh shutdown -h-P or admin page). Never had this issue before this firmware.Seems to be the same issue as

I would contact support, sounds like someone will need to remotely access your device to see what is stopping shutdown

Instead of contacting support, you can send email to readycloud@netgear.com so we can help out too.
