Normally, I'd completly agree. It shouldn't matter. However, it's acting like current browser session is getting garbled. If I totally close out all of active browser windows and relaunch and then:
- Navigate to the IP of the NAS
- Punch through Chrome's "Are you sure you really want to do this??" junk
- Login with my account
95% of the time it will work fine. Now, if I leave the browser/tab open for a while, then 95% of the time it'll be jacked. Persisiting the user session and (attempting to) persist Chrome's prroceed to insecure site stuff seems to come into play.
For testing purposes, I'm going to shut down HTTPS. The NAS is behind a fairly robust firewall and there are no inbound NAT rules that hit this device. I'm working on configuring my local DNS servers; once that is done, I'll install a "real" SSL cert.
Now, am I missing something or has an auto logout feature after X minutes not been implemented?
