Bitrot protection has detected a silent error
Had 10 emails overnight relating to a problem:
Bit rot protection has detected a silent error within /data/media/filename.mkv on /dev/sdd3 and cannot correct the error.
Had similar a few weeks back (3rd April) relating to a different file, that time on /dev/sdb3
Any suggestions for how to understand the root cause here?
Firmware 6.2.2 on ReadyNAS 316
Thanks,
Ben

Re: Bitrot protection has detected a silent error
I should add that I'm frequently getting "connection lost" messages on the Web UI.
Something doesn't appear to be well.

Re: Bitrot protection has detected a silent error
Can you send me your logs (see the Sending Logs link in my sig)?

Re: Bitrot protection has detected a silent error
All appears to be running fine since an update to 6.3.3 beta.
The web connectivity issue seem to be linked to Google Chrome 64-bit, went away as soon as I tried the same actions in IE.
Thanks mdgm for your input.
