Can I upgrade Disk Size from 2TB to 6TB on ReadyNas 102?
Hello,
Recently one of the HDD failed on my ReadyNas 102.
NAS is RAID 1 (mirror)
I have 2TB on each bay (Seagate Barracuda st2000dm001).
I was hoping to upgrade disk volume since I am replacing one of the HDD
my questions are:
1. Can I upgrade to 6TB HDD and have the NAS copy data from 2TB HDD to 6TB HDD?
2. If yes then, can I take the 2TB HDD out and install another 6TB HDD? This way I will have same HDD on both bay.
3. Since i have Seagate presently in the NAS, can I use WD Reds for the upgrades? I know RAID 1 allows different brand and different speed drives but not sure about Netgear devices.
Any help would greatly be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Re: Can I upgrade Disk Size from 2TB to 6TB on ReadyNas 102?
- Yes. Once you put in the 6TB the NAS will resync the array. You won't see any space increase.
- Once the resync has finished you can remove the remaining 2TB and replace it with a 6TB. Space increases.
- You can mix drives in a ReadyNAS, just try and keep the speed and cache the same.
