Can't Access Admin Page
Hi,
I just don't understand.
Could you explain to me please?
My problem:
- I am on MAC OSX 12 (Sierra) and my Browser is Chrome.
- NAS Firmware : 6.6.1
- I had access yesterday to my NAS admin page
- I made backup from the NAS to an external disk this night to change the NAS disks RAID format
- today I want to re-format the NAS disks and can't access to the Admin page
- RAIDar doesn't see any problem on the NAS or disks and I can access to the NAS via my Finder (sharing disks, AFP)
- I have read the solutions given by this forum & have restarted the NAS (I don't have Kapersky antivirus on my machine) => nothing.
I will try to re-install the NAS OS but this behaviour seems to me very strange.
I have chosen ReadyNAS solutions to have a simple backup solutions wihtout making administration system, but I have the feelings to have a black box that I can't control...
Thank you for any help.
Best,
loR

Re: Can't Access Admin Page
Hello lor672,
What changes and activities were done on the NAS before you started to get this problem?
The firmware is also not updated, I suggest you update it to FW version 6.7.4.
Welcome to the community!

Re: Can't Access Admin Page
Thank you for your answer JennC.
The admin page has returned without any actions from me last week.
I've tried to access to it today but I couldn't with the same problem.
I'll wait a disk reformat and will try to update the firmware as you suggest and I'll tell you you the result of this operation.
Best regards,

Re: Can't Access Admin Page
Hello,
Here is my feedback.
I have replaced 2 disks, one by one, to have a better disks configuration (2 WD red & 2 Seagate).
I have updated my firmware to 6.7.4 as suggested.
Results : I have lost my connexion to my TIme Machine space and can't connect my admin page again.
RAIDar writes my system is in good health but I can't access to my folders neither set my Time Machine settings.
Diagnostics are not accessible too.
Thank you for any help.

Re: Can't Access Admin Page
You upgraded the disks first, and had admin access when the resync completed?
But then lost it when you updated to 6.7.4?

Re: Can't Access Admin Page
Hi StephenB,
Thank you for your reply.
> You upgraded the disks first, and had admin access when the resync completed?
Yes, that's what I did. But no, I didn't have access to the Admin page after.
> But then lost it when you updated to 6.7.4?
I didn't try to do anything between updating disks and updating Firmware.
I did all in one shot, step by step.
I can access to my virtual drives and folders, which means my network is OK.
But no acces to admin page.
Time machine seems OK: I've changed User settings. I'm waiting the end of the save to be sure...

Re: Can't Access Admin Page
Well, three shots
- upgrade disk 1
- upgrade disk 2
- upgrade firmware
Yes, that's what I mean 🙂
The resync for disk 2 was completed before you did step 3?
Yes.
Does https://nas-ip-address/fwbroker respond?

Re: Can't Access Admin Page
If you don't have an up-to-date backup, I would take care of that first.
Did you try the OS reinstall yet? That would be a good next step.

Re: Can't Access Admin Page
I have updated the firmware remotely to 6.7.5 and...
"ReadyNAS Admin Page is offline"
I'm tired, this NAS is new, but I didn't have time to set it when I bought it... And now I don't have free support 'cause I have past the 90 days free support.
Thank you for your help anyway, I really appreciate it!

Re: Can't Access Admin Page
I'm in the same boat lor672
I've had a previous version for a long time that has never had any issues. I updated to 6.7.5 and now I can't access the admin page nor do any of the apps work. I can access/browse my data using the RAIDar software but can't manage or use anything like PLEX.
Any thoughts on what we can do, or is there a way to downgrade to the previous version?
I have already done the OS Reinstall and nothing changed. Thanks!!

Re: Can't Access Admin Page
Yes, I begin to really regret to have made the choice (again) for a Netgear Solution.
I think I will make my own NAS & backup solution with a simple tower & Linux OS in the future.
I will meet certainly problems but I think I will be able to result them in a better way than actually with the ReadyNAS solutions where I just can't do nothing...
And I think the 3 monthes free support policy is not fair...
