Can't Find RND2120 ReadyNAS Duo V1 on the Network after Upgrade to Windows 10
I have upgraded to Win 10 and my Ready NAS isnt visible. Raidar v6 can see it but doesnt give much info eg Model and Firmware sections are blank though Name - nas-48-B5-2D and Status (healthy) and IP 192.168.1.117 (C4:3D:C7:48:B5:2D) are present.
When I lick AdminPage it opens a browser page at http://192.168.1.117/admin but I get "ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED"
I opened a CMD prompt as suggested in another thread. I pinged the IP address and it seemed to work - there are 4 lines of Reply Statistics - 4 packets sent & 4 received avg 1ms.
My computers IP is 192.168.1.141 according to Netgear Genie.
I'm really stuck and my whole cd collection is on the discs
Regards
Jason

Re: Can't Find RND2120 ReadyNAS Duo V1 on the Network after Upgrade to Windows 10
Hi
My NAS has only 1 ethernet port which is directly connected to an 8 port switch - Ubiquiti Networks TS-8-PRO - ToughSwitch 8-port Pro
I just tried changing the cable and using a dirrerent port in the switch and get the same results. Just re-pinged 192.168.1.117 and seems fine.
I dont know about the dynamic Ip setting? are we talking about the router?

Re: Can't Find RND2120 ReadyNAS Duo V1 on the Network after Upgrade to Windows 10
Ive just looked at Raidar again and for the first time it is now showing two discs with ticks for the first time - it has also given the Model: ReadyNAS Duo but still the 192.168.1.117/admin doesnt work and there is no info next to the Firmware section

Re: Can't Find RND2120 ReadyNAS Duo V1 on the Network after Upgrade to Windows 10
back of 2120 has 2 ethernet ports. make sure it is 2120 the rack mount model. try connect using the other port
i mean your nas network settings with dynamic ip. not your router

Re: Can't Find RND2120 ReadyNAS Duo V1 on the Network after Upgrade to Windows 10
cpu8088, this is not the RN2120 (4-bay rackmount). As was made clear in the thread subject this is the RND2120-100. ReadyNAS NAS Duo (v1) with 1x2TB disk. The Duo v1 was released back in 2008.
JasonCobber do you have just the one PC? If you have multiple PCs can you see it with another one?
If you run RAIDiar 4.3.8 can you see the firmware version in the Info (far right) column?

Re: Can't Find RND2120 ReadyNAS Duo V1 on the Network after Upgrade to Windows 10
Hi mdgm
No firmware version on either Raidar 4.3.8 or version 6.0 on main PC.
Ive also connected my laptop via wifi to the network - raidar 4.3.8 on the laptop detects the NAS & gives MAC, Model, Host name, IP address & gives green lights for the 2 discs and a single solid green at the far left hand side and also in the column after the IP address but no further info. Trying 192.168.1.117/admin also gives the same error ie err_connection_refused Does this mean that some sort of security is actively blocking access?
Thanks for your help
Jason
ps Ive also just found the router setup and have changed the Rewady NASfrom DHCP to static IP of 192.168.1.117 No change in things as yet.

Re: Can't Find RND2120 ReadyNAS Duo V1 on the Network after Upgrade to Windows 10
So you can't access the NAS from either PC?
What is showing in the Info (far right) column in RAIDar 4.3.8?

Re: Can't Find RND2120 ReadyNAS Duo V1 on the Network after Upgrade to Windows 10
Hi MDGM
Ive posted some screenshots for raidar 4.3.8 & 6.0 as well as the Routers network map which shows the NAS as plugged directly into Lan 4 on the router but apparently "Not connected" - since my last post I have connected the NAS directly to the router rather than going through my 8 port switch in case that was a problem (but apparently it wasn't). I've also got a picture of the error I get in Chrome when I try to access the NAS admin settings.
I got the same results in raidar on my laptop when connected to the network wirelessly. When I first restart the NAS I get a message in the final column of Raidar saying that its check the file system at 100% so hopefully the discs are healthy.
Thanks for all your assistance.

Re: Can't Find RND2120 ReadyNAS Duo V1 on the Network after Upgrade to Windows 10
Looks like there is a problem with the NAS or perhaps one of the disks and the upgrade to Windows 10 was a coincidence. It should show the firmware version in the Info column in RAIDar 4.3.8 if it has completed booting.
So, you have no backup?
I would suggest you power down the NAS, remove the disks (label order), hook them up to your PC and test the disks using vendor tools (e.g. test SeaGate disks using SeaTools and WD disks using WD Data Lifeguard Diagnostics).
You may also wish to run the memory test boot menu option a few times.
