Re: Can't connect to admin page

Do you know what firmware you are running?  Was there something that triggered this?

Does https://nas-ip-address/fwbroker respond?  Use the real NAS IP address of course.

Re: Can't connect to admin page

Good.

Usually this problem is related to an app incompatibility - do you know what apps you had installed?

There are some fixes to get the admin ui back in 6.8.1, but there are some additional fixes in 6.9.0-RC1.

I suggest trying to manually install 6.9.0-RC1 using this interface, but if you are uncomfortable with beta firmware you can try 6.8.1 instead.

Re: Can't connect to admin page

You probably don't need to install it if you have admin access again.  However, if you want to, you get download the firmware from here: https://community.netgear.com/t5/ReadyNAS-Beta-Release/ReadyNASOS-6-9-0-RC1/m-p/1365775#M9752, and then manually install it from system->settings.

There is, but the simple answer is to use WDC Red or Seagate Ironwolf models.  These are NAS-purposed drives - enterprise class are faster, but your entry-level NAS can't take advantage of that speed anyway.  I use WD60EFRX and WD80EFZX in my two RN52x NAS.  I've tried the 1 TB Ironwolf in my RN102, and it works well also.

If you are looking at very large drives (5 TB and larger), than check the mounting specs.  Ideally you'll have something with side center holes.  You can work around that, but it's simplest to avoid it.
