Cannot access shared drives and cannot access data on NAS

Hi

Since December i cannot access the Data on my NAS. I have a NAS NV+ v2 with 4 2TB drives. I can access the home and admin folders but nothing else. RAIDar and INFO show the NAS looks healthy but i can see from the logs there are a lot of alarms on Dec 14th and 17th indicating disk 4 might fail soon, and at one point indicating that disk 2, 3, & 4 were unmounted. (I never unmounted any disk)

Any advice on how i can troubleshoot this, are there specific entries in specific log files i should be looking for? Im hoping my data is still ok but im concerned i might have lost it. I mostly use it for media but there is a lot of files i really dont want to lose. Worst case scenario if i have lost it all i would like to figure out what happened? Otherwise i would be reluctant to store data on it again.

Attached are some screen shots of the NAS status and the error im getting

Help!!

Thanks

Re: Cannot access shared drives and cannot access data on NA

When you got to System>Volume, does it show the size of the data?

Under Volume, the only thing listed is the USB hard drive i have plugged into the usb port at the back.

Re: Cannot access shared drives and cannot access data on NA

Although the NAS is showing all 4 disks as active and no alarms are being reported, there is no volume displayed in the Admin GUI.

Is there a way to get the NAS to scan for the disks? or is there any way i can check the individual disks to see if they still have my data stoed on any of them?

wow... It appears that there is no volume. You can mount it on a computer with a linux fs, that way you can look if there are any contents on the drives. My suggestion is to contact support so that it can be looked at on the back end.

http://support.netgear.com/general/contact/#tab-call

If you are already out of warranty, ask them if you can get a one time incident paid support.

Thanks for your help with this, im going to get per incident support and see if they can help. I dont have a linux machine to mount a disk on so will wait to see what support suggest.
