Checking FTP active connections

I can't seem to be able to find a solution on this forum or on the Net.

How can I find out if someone is connected to my ReadyNas by FTP and if they're downloading something? I have SSH access.

Can I install it, is it safe to do so on the NAS and how can I do so 🙂
