Connect Marantz MCR603 to Music Streamed from ReadyNAS Duo
I have a Melody Media (MCR603) that is connected to my network and I have been successfully streaming music from my computer using either Windows Media or Logitech Music Server. I have just purchased a ReadyNAS Duo and have connected it to my network successfully. Other devices on my network (my Dell Laptop and SquuezeBox Boom) can stream from the ReadyNAS server. However, I cannot get the Melody Media (MCR603) to see the ReadyNAS server. Any suggestions/ideas?
On the ReadyNAS I have the SqueezeCenter, iTunes Streaming Server and Ready DLNA running in the Streaming Services and the media\music folder on the ReadyNAS is included in the folders that are scanned.
I'm up to date on all versions of firmware and have v1.0.22 of Ready DLNA.

Re: Connect Marantz MCR603 to Music Streamed from ReadyNAS D
I have the MCR603 as well, but it works fine for me. I have Duo v2, I dont have any server things installed, just the Ready DLNA running on the music directory.
Do you have the latest firmware on the marantz unit ?
Does it successfully stream internet radio ?

Re: Connect Marantz MCR603 to Music Streamed from ReadyNAS D
I have got my MCR603 partially working so I'm not sure if I can shed any light, or indeed, if anyone can help me.
Before I got the ReadyNas Duo the 603 would not see my Windows 7 laptop running ITunes. I then got the ReadyNas and changed my router to a Netgear 3300. After doing yet another rescan of the media using the ReadyDLNA section in streaming services on RAIDar, my 603 can see some but not all of the music the ReadyNas is storing. (Still nothing on Win7 ITunes)
I cannot say if the 603 can see all the music via the Album/Artist/Genre menus as there is so much, but when I hit enter on Browse Folders on the 603 I can only see some of the directories on the ReadyNas even though some of the missing ones contain music. I thought there might have been a difference between creating a folder in Explorer and doing it via RAIDar (even though that uses Explorer), but I have just created two directories via each method, put an mp3 in each and did a rescan media in RADIar but neither directory can be seen on the 603. I have checked the permissions on folders that can be seen by the 603 and those that can't and they appear to be the same.
So, my problem is that I can only see some of the music on my ReadyNas, any ideas why?

Re: Connect Marantz MCR603 to Music Streamed from ReadyNAS D
Following on from my previous post I have got a bit further.
Looking at some of the other DLNA posts (e.g. http://www.readynas.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=76&t=52683) it seems that there can be a problem with MKV files. These present a problem for the ReadyNAS scan at which point it seems to give up and not see any further files or directories. Some people have success by renaming or removing the MKVs.
As my 603 cannot see beyond a certain point on the ReadyNAS I took one of the music files from a directory which it couldn't see and put it in an earlier visible dir. Hey Presto, that music is now visible (in the new dir) after I do a rescan. This would suggest my problem is something to do with certain files preventing the rescan to be performed correctly. Unfortunately, I don't know which are the offending files/formats. I suppose I could move all my music bit by bit to the new directory until I find which causes the problem.
This seems to be a problem with the ReadyNAS rather than the Marantz CR603
