Connecting Legacy RND 4250 ReadyNAS
I'm no network genius & I have a stupid question; I have an old RND4250 that hasn't been hooked up for about 4 years. I am now thinking about hooking it back up. If I do not want to network it (access it only from a local computer) can I connect via a USB and not hook up an Ethernet cable? Will my computer recognize the device? Then, if I decide to, at a later point, I could then connect to my network & configure. Thanks in advance for any assistance.
Model: RND4250v1|READYNAS NV+ v1 (1TB: 2 X 500GB)|EOL

No. It has to be connected with ethernet. You can connect USB drives or a UPS to the NAS, but not a computer.

Thanks. Much appreciated. I assumed as much but I hate assuming anything.
