Dropbox backup was working but no longer synchronizing

Hi.

 

I´m running a NAS 102 on firmware 6.8.1.

 

Rigth before the update, about 2 weeks ago, my NAS stopped synching with my DropBox account.

 

Two days ago, I´ve updated my NAS firmware to the latest version and had to reconfigure the dropbox sync.

 

The syncronization was working fine until 1,5gb of upload, and then simply stopped. My NAS has about 25 gb files of data.

 

I´ve already rebooted the NAS, stopped and restarted the dropbox service, and still nothing...

 

I´ve changed the secondary DNS to 8.8.8.8, but still nothing...

 

any ideas??

How much is the Dropbox account’s storage space? Or you can select a smaller folder and upload it to the cloud to see if it works

Hi, Tks for replying.

I have 1tb of space. Space isn´t an issue...

The most curios thing is some of the folders are fully sincronized, but the largest isn´t (this particular folder has 1.372 folders inside it).

Previous to the last firmware update, everything was running correctly, but when the new firware was released, the dropbox sync just stopped and I had to reconfigure it.

But after this reconfiguration, just some folders are correctly sync´d, and the largest one is not...

I´ve tried your solution, but it didn´t work...

When I check the LOG, the files appear to be in sync, but on dropbox nothing appears.

Still hoping for a solution.

Please try to download the complete logs of the NAS and kindly check if there is a Dropbox log. The log may contain information that might help us with the concern.

Thanks for replaying.

I´ve already checked the logs... Accordingly to the dropbox log, all the files are uploaded, but when I check Dropbox, they simply are not there...

Do you still think the logs are necessary??? If so, I´ll upload them.

The logs say's the sync was complete but dropbox tells it is not. 6.9.0 firmware is now available we may try to upgrade the firmware and check if that will make any difference.

Unfortunatly I still have the same problem... I´ve already upgraded to the latest firmware version, and still nothing.

As I said before, the log shows one thing but the files are not in Dropbox...

I´ll keep trying some things.

The problem only occurs on this specific folder that has a lot of subfolders on it. Do you have like special permissions on this folders or permissions on files save on it?

Hi Marty.

Yes, the problem occurs exactly on a folder with a lot os subfolders... This particular folder has about 1.300 subfolders.

Please double check if there are permission set on the subfolders or permission on the files itself save on the subfolders.

Hi Wilce,

 

Have you tried resetting the file and folder access rights of that folder? If not, you may try doing that by going to the settings of that share folder, then go to File Access tab, then go to Reset.

John is suggesting that you do this in the NAS web ui.
