Email Alert password not persistent
ReadyNas 3130 6.4.1
Email alerts work when I click on "Send teat Message and Apply", but the password does not persist. I get the test message, but the password box clears and no further alerts are received.
Using googlemail.

Even though the password field is blank, as long as the test message was sent successfully alerts should be properly configured and working. Under normal conditions you shouldn't really receive any alerts, except for the categories under "Alert Events".

Ok, this is helpful. My 3200 and NV boxes send emails at the completion of every backup. Maybe the alert is working but I don't have the right alerts selected. Will check tonight.

Ok, this worked. I had not seleted the correct option for backup notification. "Status and Errors" gave me what I was looking for.
Not sure why the password disappears on the alert page, but the alerts appears to work nontheless.
