I have a ReadyNAS 3200 with dual power supplies. The unit is fairly new, just a few months old. I've been receiving the following error message repeatedly: V-12 power is out of normal range [expected: -12.00 current: -12.86]
When I first started configuring the unit I had it plugged into a standard outlet and I thought that maybe there was a problem with the power level from the outlet. When I finished with the configuration I rackmounted it and plugged it into two different UPS's. Unfortunately the error still shows up in the log. Is the problem with one of the unit's power supplies?
Bumping this thread. I have been receiving the same message frequently:
V+12 power is out of normal range [expected: 12.00 current: 11.08]
Sometimes several times a week, sometimes less frequently. Both during daytime and nighttime.
NAS: Readynas Ultra Duo. No UPS. I am using an external 12V DC power supply rated up to 6amp. Has worked fine for almost two years until I started to get the warnings. When I measure the voltage under load I get around 12.05. I am suspecting that the power supply is not the problem.
