Expanding Drives for an RNDU4000

Please verify that the HGT HUA723030ALA640 3GB will function properly in the legacy

RNDU4000 fw v4.2.15 . Sn 2dk4120x009da

this drive is on the compatibility list , but just want to be sure I am looking at the correct list for my raid unit.

thank you

Re: Expanding Drives for an RNDU4000

It's on the list for the Ultra-4.

In general the HCL for your NAS is very old, so it isn't the best guide any more.  Newer models that will work are missing, and many of the older models are out of production.

That said, you shouldn't have any issues with this model, and I am seeing some good pricing for it on Amazon at the moment.

Re: Expanding Drives for an RNDU4000

Hello,

There seems to be 2 part numbers for the HUA723030ALA640 Hitachi drive.

One is 0F14044 and the second is 0F12456.

Will both these drives function in the RNDU4000.

The HCL makes no reference to the part number, just the model.

thank you

FWIW, your firmware (4.2.15) is quite old.  I'd update it to 4.2.31 (which is the current version).
