External USB not showing up

Hi All,

I have an 8TB Seagate Expansion drive that I am trying to use as a backup drive on the ReadyNAS. I have tried both USB 3 ports and the USB 2 port in front. It does not appear on the System/overview screen. I have also tried rebooting the nas with the drive attached and still no go.

Any thoughts or suggestions greatly appreciated!

Which model ReadyNAS and which firmware?

Its is a ReadyNAS 3130 with firmware 6.6.0

Try upgrading to OS 6.6.1 it fixes some USB issues

You can download it HERE for manual firmware install as it may not be on the Netgear update server yet

Updated to OS 6.6.1, still no drive shoing up

Might be best is you can contact our chat support. You actually have a lifetime support from them. They should be able to isolate and escalate the case if needed.
