Fan speed cranking up to 3100+ RPM

Hi - I upgraded to RAIDiator 4.2.22 for my Ultra 4 Plus this morning, and ever since I've had problems with the fan running long and loud. When I check Frontview, it's calibrated over 3000 RPM. No problem, I thought... and re-calibrated and it came back down to normal. But it happened a second time. Recalibrating brings it back down to a reasonable 1700-1800 RPM. It's not very hot up here. In fact, it's been one of the coolest days we've had in months with an open window breeze. I'm not sure why the fan keeps cranking up.

Temp CPU 50 C / 122 F [Normal 0-80 C / 32-176 F]
Temp SYS 36 C / 96 F [Normal 0-65 C / 32-149 F]

Is anyone else seeing this? I never saw (heard!) this problem until after I upgraded.

Thanks
Amy

Re: Fan speed cranking up to 3100+ RPM

Any thoughts on this? I'm up to my 4th fan recalibration today. The unit hasn't even been used since this morning, and the room temps have stayed in the 70s. I have never seen this prior to the update this morning. It's LOUD.

Is the NAS resyncing?

Re: Fan speed cranking up to 3100+ RPM

Sorry - I didn't get notified that there was a reply. No, it's not resyncing according to the logs. It's mostly just sitting there unused when the fan cranks up. I tried looking at the logs, but there are so many, and I don't know which ones would be relevant.

Re: Fan speed cranking up to 3100+ RPM

Your CPU temp seems high (certainly much higher than my pro, which is 27C at the moment). I think I'd open a support request - I am wondering if something has happened to the CPU cooling.

You could try downgrading to see if the problem disappears (my pro is still running 4.2.20).
