Is there any app or codec currently available for NAS to be able to view thumbnails of images that are stored in heic format from apple products? Photos backed up from mobile devices were stored in jpeg format and thumbnails appeared when logged into the NAS but now the apple devices store in heic and no image appears.
Currently I don't think there is app compatible or available for ReadyNAS system to automatically read the HEIC file though there are a bunch of readers and converters available for other OS.
It will be a good feature request to be able to read and view HEIC on the ReadyNAS Admin page. You can post this on Ideas Exchange board.
