How do I change SSH port on ReadyNAS?
When I edit the /etc/ssh/sshd_config it says pretty clearly at the top:
# Do not edit
So what's the correct way of changing the port number?
I am runing 6.9.5

Hi @RedBullet, it seems to be hard-coded. You might want to upvote or comment on this idea, though. https://community.netgear.com/t5/ReadyNAS-Idea-Exchange/Custom-SSH-port-number-in-backup-jobs-quot-r...

Yes.
In addition, most routers do let you forward incoming traffic to a different port. For instance, if port 50022 in the router is forwarded to port 22, then an ssh connecttion over the internet using port 50022 would connect. Either way, using a different port doesn't address security concerns, at most it lowers the odds slightly.
