How to backup home folders to ReadyVault?

So in the readynas (6.4.1) under Shares, is one called:

Home Folders

But when I login to ReadyVault, that share doesn't show up in order to back it up?

Do I need to manually create a backup job for this?

and if so, how?

I find it very odd that the ReadyNas readyvault doesn't have home folders to backup, as that's where most users would store their "personal"/important stuff vs. out on a share that everyone can get to.

Re: How to backup home folders to ReadyVault?

You can create custom backup jobs within the Vault management page (Backup > Cloud Storage > Vault > Manage ReadyNAS Vault).

When adding your backup, include "/VOLUME_NAME/home/USER" into the Included Folders section.

Obviously replace VOLUME_NAME and USER with something more appropriate. 🙂

So that works, but obviously only for the one directory in question.  If you have 20+ home folders, it's not a viable solution to create a backup job for each one.

Am testing trying to define the backup as:

/data/home

to see if that works as well.
