I'm using offline files windows XP-Pro to sync the, at this point almost empty, "My Documents" folder. Everything works ok except for the fact that windows gives an error ("the connected filesystem does not support extended properties" on (for example) the desktop.ini file. When i try this on another share with oplocks enabled there is no problem, so how do i enable oplocks on the home share?

then what is the use of user shares? In the past there was a oplocks add-on, i thought that one worked as a global setting. is that perhaps a solution to enable op-locks on the user shares? if so where can i find the add-on and will this work on v4?
Ok i'll try this one. What would be the effect on the otther shares. i.e. wil the enable oplocks mark have a reverse working when applying the add-on? So is i apply the oplocks add-on wil setteing the mark at enable oplocks disable oplocks for that share?
So, applying the add-on oplocks enabled globaly solved my off-line files syncing error stated above. It would be nice to have this option in the GUI for home shares. Thanks,
I want to enable oplocks for the user shares but as far as I can see this option is not available for user shares. In this topic there is a link to some addon which should turn oplocks on, but the link is not working anymore. Can anyone help me how to enable oplocks?
