AIDAR
Hey,
I have problems accessing my old NAS. I can't use the browser or the explorer to access the config/drives.
My configuration is:
NAS --> eth --> PC
Router --> WLAN --> PC
The RAIDar tool shows the NAS (I attached a screenshot).
Using the ping command on the IP doesn't work.
Any ideas how to reconnect to my NAS?
regards!

Yes. Do an OS reinstall - see pages 15-16 here: http://www.downloads.netgear.com/files/GDC/RND2110/Duov1_NV+v1_HW_en_06Dec11.pdf
The NAS admin password will be changed back to netgear1 and the network configuration will be reset. Data and other settings aren't affected.
Then hook your NAS up to your router. Find the IP address with RAIDar, and then browse to https://nas-ip-address/admin

You need to manually assign a static IP address to the PC ethernet card.
PC IP address = 192.168.168.100 Subnet MASK = 255.255.255.0 Gateway address = 192.168.168.1
You should then be able to connect by IP address.
Another possibility is that you could connect the NAS directly to the router (accessing the files over wifi).
Either way, if you are running Windows 10 you will need to make sure that the SMB 1.0 client is enabled on the PC.

Re: How to reset the network settings for my NAS duo 2000v2?
Hi StefJar,
Welcome to the Community!
Your NAS is actually a ReadyNAS Duo v1 based on its firmware.
You may try first directly connecting the PC to NAS via Ethernet then temporarily assign a static IP address of 192.168.168.100, subnet mask of 255.255.255.0, and default gateway of 192.168.168.1. You can then try accessing https://192.168.168.168/admin and see if it connects.
If you are able to access the admin page, you may change the NAS IP address to the same subnet with your router.

If you intend to leave your NAS connected to the PC NIC then you shouldn't do this. Just leave the NAS IP address as it is.

thx for the fast response.
I set it up like @StephenB mentioned. Before I didn't setup the gateway. SMP is activated as well.
Sadly it doesn't work.
If I remember I played arround with the config. So I have the feeling that I messed it up.
