IP Rules & Routes for external access when Readynas running VPN
I have installed OpenVPN on my RN312 (OS 6.6.1-T220 Beta 3) and configured it to use my PIA account details. All good, working perfectly, transmission doing its thing through the vpn.
Instructions if anyone interested were from those by jungleboydotca in this post;
Now, as predicted, I cant access the Readynas from outside my network via port forwarding and ddns - as I could before. I understand that it has something to do with configuring IP rules and Routes as described (but not detailed) by User jungleboydotca.
Any guidance on how to do this?

Re: IP Rules & Routes for external access when Readynas running VPN
You may want to look into Zerotier (search the forum for ReadyNAS specifics). It safely co-exists with OpenVPN and allows you to access the NAS from outside your network without all the hassle of routes or even port forwarding. You would have to install Zerotier on the devices you want to have access.
I have not tried NASTool's version of Zerotier on OS 6.6.1. I know it requires 6.6.0, but don't know if that's "or above" or not. But you could definately do the direct install from SSH.
