ISCSI file corrupt can any one help
I have a RN4200 and had a ISCSI drive connected to a 2k8r2 server.
Wednesday last week the drive became corrupt (userfiles~0), I have been told I need to recover the data from the corrupt ISCSI Drive that is NTFS Format.
Is there any way to recover the files from the userfile~0 files from the RN4200.
All help greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

Re: ISCSI file corrupt can any one help
If you are able to connect to the iSCSI target with your computer, you can use the NTFS tools to recover. If you aren't able to connect to the target, your best chance of recovery is to reboot the RreadyNAS through Frontview. Go to the system option, shutdown, and select the perform a volume scan on next boot option. Let it run until it finishes.

This can be done and I have written an article about it.

Basically, copy the iSCSI file to a local system, and then use image tools to mount it as a file system. Then you can run recovery tools on the resulting virtual drive, or undelete tools, or whatnot. 🙂
I was interested in this recovery procedure myself as I am thinking of using iSCSI but didn't know how it was working, so this was basic research for me, I didn't actually have a problem. It turned out it was pretty easy to solve!
I wish you good luck!
