Installed FW:4.2.24 on ReadyNAS Pro

After install of this new firmware I see the following errors.

DDB18 power is out of normal range [expected: 1.80 current: -0.00].
AVCC power is out of normal range [expected: 3.30 current: -0.00].
VCC3 power is out of normal range [expected: 3.30 current: -0.00].
VCC1_25 power is out of normal range [expected: 1.25 current: -0.00].
VCC1_5 power is out of normal range [expected: 1.50 current: -0.00].
VCC1_05 power is out of normal range [expected: 1.04 current: -0.00].
3VDUAL power is out of normal range [expected: 3.30 current: -0.00].
VBAT power is out of normal range [expected: 3.30 current: -0.00].

I have seen this before when I upgraded the CPU to a Q6600- Quad core.

I just can't remember what the commands were to run in terminal to tell it not to monitor voltage.
Also, getting "sys fan failed" on the frontview.

Anyone, have any recommendation?

Thanks in advance.

Check your PM inbox.

Regarding your fans have you checked to see if they are running? Maybe one of your fans is dead?

Re: Installed FW:4.2.24 on ReadyNAS Pro

I verified that all fans are running fine.
It's only after the firmware update that I see this message.

Hmm...(scratching my head on this one)

Re: Installed FW:4.2.24 on ReadyNAS Pro

The /frontview/conf/enclosure.db file is a SQLite database that tells Frontview where to find the fan control and fan/temperature/voltage status files. Those files are in one place for the stock CPU and in a different place for your quad-core CPU; to make Frontview look in the right place, you need to edit the database. Safest way is to make a backup copy first, of course.

As you'll see when you open enclosure.db, the first row of the "sensors" table contains data for the Pro. The "paths" column for the Pro looks like this:
labeltemp0: SYS
labeltemp1: CPU
labeltemp2: AUX
faninput0: /sys/class/hwmon/hwmon2/device/pwm1
faninput1: /sys/class/hwmon/hwmon2/device/pwm2
faninput2: /sys/class/hwmon/hwmon2/device/pwm3
fanpath0: /sys/class/hwmon/hwmon2/device/fan1_input
fanpath1: /sys/class/hwmon/hwmon2/device/fan2_input
fanpath2: /sys/class/hwmon/hwmon2/device/fan3_input
cpu_enable_path: /sys/class/hwmon/hwmon2/device/pwm2_enable
cpu_target_path: /sys/class/hwmon/hwmon2/device/pwm2_target
cpu_tolerance_path: /sys/class/hwmon/hwmon2/device/pwm2_tolerance
cpu_minpwm_path: /sys/class/hwmon/hwmon2/device/pwm2_min_output
cpu_stoptime_path: /sys/class/hwmon/hwmon2/device/pwm2_stop_time
temppath0: /sys/class/hwmon/hwmon2/device/temp1_input
temppath1: /sys/class/hwmon/hwmon2/device/temp2_input
temppath2: /sys/class/hwmon/hwmon2/device/temp3_input
volpath0: /sys/class/hwmon/hwmon2/device/in0_input
volpath1: /sys/class/hwmon/hwmon2/device/in1_input
volpath2: /sys/class/hwmon/hwmon2/device/in2_input
volpath3: /sys/class/hwmon/hwmon2/device/in3_input
volpath4: /sys/class/hwmon/hwmon2/device/in4_input
volpath5: /sys/class/hwmon/hwmon2/device/in5_input
volpath6: /sys/class/hwmon/hwmon2/device/in6_input
volpath7: /sys/class/hwmon/hwmon2/device/in7_input
volpath8: /sys/class/hwmon/hwmon2/device/in8_input

That hwmon2 directory probably doesn't exist (or is empty) on your system. Find the directory that contains those files on your system (probably hwmon4), then change the paths in that row of the database from "hwmon2" to the name of your directory.

That should fix the Frontview errors. To fix the errors in your logs, Chirpa recommends writing a startup script to remove the voltage-check lines from the monitor_enclosure layout that's dynamically built on every boot:
