Intermittent ADS issue on one ReadyNAS

Intermittent ADS issue on one ReadyNAS

We have 3 ReadyNAS 314's across multiple sites.  One of them will occasionally notify me with an error "Failed to sync ADS account information for the realm".  It doesn't prevent users from accessing it with their domain accounts, it is more just a nusance with the emails coming in every few days.  What might cause this error?  I've checked the logs on the domain controller it connects to for the domain accounts and see no errors there.

Hi PipingRockIT,

Have you tried rejoining the NAS to your domain? Also, is the device up to date?

Hope to hear back from you soon.

Kind regards,

Re: Intermittent ADS issue on one ReadyNAS

I have the same problem on Readynas204. Tried rejoining domain and the FW is 6.4.0 but problem remains.

Also if I do a "Refreash ADS accounts" I get Import error, and all domain users is in the Domain Users group and no other groups have been imported.

/Fredrik

Re: Intermittent ADS issue on one ReadyNAS

Hi Automation,

Can you confirm if you can set share permissions in your server even if the users/groups doesn't populate in the admin page. You may check this article for further instructions.

I look forward to your response.

Yes, setting the permissions from a windows server works fine. Also realized the NTP was wrongfully set to the domain controller, changed this to our NTP-server and so far the ADS error hasn't appeared for a couple of days. Still get the Import error on accounts page thou, but I can live with that as long as everything works. /Fredrik
