Is ReadyCLOUD Offline Or Broken?

My email and password are not recognized when I try to login locally to my ReadyNAS using the ReadyCLOUD desktop app for Windows 10.  When I go to the ReadyCLOUD website, it takes me to the wrong webpage.  What's going on?

Re: Is ReadyCLOUD Offline Or Broken?

Netgear announced the termination of the NETGEAR ReadyCLOUD service by April 1st, 2023, and extended it until July 1st, 2023. Game over.

It was with great sorrow that we learned of the painful loss in our family. It has been a great privilege knowing him.

Unbelievable!  Any idea how I can fix logging into my two ReadyNAS devices on my local network?  I don't know how to get to the administrative page anymore.

Re: Is ReadyCLOUD Offline Or Broken?

Thank you.  I guess the desktop ReadyCLOUD app no longer works to get to the admin page?

Correct.  You can use RAIDar, though personally I just reserve the NAS IP address in my router, and browser to https://nas-ip-address/admin.

Re: Is ReadyCLOUD Offline Or Broken?

I used ReadyCloud to access my NAS from my mobile to upload photos & videos. Is there any alternative solution out to do the same without ReadyCloud? What can I do and how?

Kind regards, Stefan

Deploying an inbound VPN is one option.  My Orbi router (like several others) has OpenVPN built in.  ZeroTier is another similar option, though it requires more skill to install.  When either is enabled in the phone, you can upload (and download) remotely the same way you do when home.

Resilio Sync might also be an option for you.  There is a NAS app, though I haven't used it. (though I've used Resilio between phones and a PC, just not the NAS).  It has a background option to back up photos and videos on the phone.

Another possibility is to do this in two steps, uploading to google drive or icloud first, and then transfering to the NAS from a PC later on.

Thanks for the clear concise response!

My ReadNas has performed very well and I have been very happy with it, too bad they could not keep the infrastructure running as that was one of the features that I looked at when I purchased the device.
