Just upgraded to 6.7.0....
And the NAS is stuck at 99% booting up, If there are any Beta testers about, Just wondering if this is normal due to the significant changes in the firmware, or if it's borked for the second time in a week 🙂

I was running 6.7 Beta 4 before, and had no issue updating that to 6.7 production.
How long has it been stuck?

Re: Just upgraded to 6.7.0....
I haven't even gotten that far, the lcd screen will stay at booting (anywhere between 81%-99%) then eventually timeout with the msg 'failed to boot' I'm not having a good week here.
Is it safe to USB Recover to 6.5.x?

Re: Just upgraded to 6.7.0....
I just finished fairly routine upgrades to OS 6.7.0 and Plex Media Server 1.5.3 on a legacy ReadyNAS Ultra 6 Plus and a ReadyNAS 628. Because the firmware upgrade is not yet available at Check for Updates under the System tab of the Admin Page, I updated the firmware locally.
The only hitch I experienced was some message, if I recall, on the 628 about an inability to install the firmware upgrade already downloaded because of server inactivity. Shortly thereafter, the System Admin Page prompted me to click to install the firmware update and reboot the 628, which went smoothly.
Anyone adversely affected by the ReadyCLOUD incident (cloud user deletion and data loss in home folders) may be wise to await further instructions from NETGEAR before upgrading the firmware. Ounce of prevention.

Re: Just upgraded to 6.7.0....
Try an OS Re-install. If that doesn't fix it it would be best if I could have a remote look at the systems to investigate.

Re: Just upgraded to 6.7.0....
After Upgrading to 6.6.1 it kills my smb-service but the rest was working fine.
So I thought upgrading to 6.7.0 might solve the problem. Now I have the same problem described in this message thread. At first everything works, after 4-5 min everything freezes until you start with hard reset. I did a reinstall, nothing changes.

Re: Just upgraded to 6.7.0....
I just finished upgrade from OS 6.6.1 to 6.7.0 on ReadyNas Pro 6 and I noticed that the format of Status section of Performance screen is different now:
With OS 6.6.1 it was
With OS 6.7.0 it is
Is a bug or a feature?

Is your window a bit smaller? Perhaps see if making your window a bit bigger makes any difference.

Re: Just upgraded to 6.7.0....
I cannot see the images posted by RoundRobin, but I think I have the same issue. No matter how wide the browser* window is, the Drives/UPS window stays static and scrunched the same size between Status and the fan information under the Performance tab. This is only happening in the Admin Page for the ReadyNAS 628. The Drives/UPS area under the Performance tab of the Admin Page for the ReadyNAS Ultra 6 Plus looks and behaves normally—like it has in the past. Both the 628 and the U6P have been upgraded to 6.7.0.

Re: Just upgraded to 6.7.0....
Have you tried clearing your web browser cache, closing your web browser then reopening it?
Have you tried multiple different web browsers?

Re: Just upgraded to 6.7.0....
Since nobody can see images in my post I will try to describe the difference for Status section in 6.6.1 and 6.7.0. In 6.7.0 Disk #, # TB and C/F temperature are shown in two lines instead of one line deforming the whole picture. It is true for Firefox, Chrome and IE. The scale of the screen does not affect it. Clearing web browser cache, closing web browser then reopening doesn't help.

Re: Just upgraded to 6.7.0....
Sounds as if it is the same as I have on only one of two NASes. I also have used multiple browsers. All but one (Safari) have never been used for NAS access, so it's not a browser/cache issue. That said, this issue is cosmetic and very low priority compared to the ReadyCLOUD outage. For now, NETGEAR should put its efforts where most critically needed.

I see that also on the RN526. It should be cleaned up, though I agree they have more urgent issues to deal with right now.

Re: Just upgraded to 6.7.0....
This latest firmware has already added a lot of stress and frustration to a week already filled with NAS issues
Has 6.7.0 been approved properly tested the RN104's? because it feels like it's asking too much from the system
Constant lock up's and inactive admin page, with the amount of reboot's Ive done in the last 5 day's won't be long before another WD Red packs up.
I've disabled several file servers
Removed Plex
deleted unwanted shares
I really want to drop back to 6.6.x I was able to leave the system unattended for months knowing it was just working, I'll be lucky if I get 3hrs out of it before the next crash.

Re: Just upgraded to 6.7.0....
Updated both earlier in the week and I had no issues. Performance screen needs to be refomatted as mentioned by others. The only thing is that the antivirus is highlighting files which were ok before. Overall pretty happy with the upgrade.
Nick.

Re: Just upgraded to 6.7.0....
I think it's a problem with any NAS with more than one fan. It's fine on my Pro2, which has only one fan. I wonder what will happen on the 4200 with it's 4 fans. I use my pro2 as a test box and it's the only one I immediately upgrade with new OS versions. The others are all still on 6.6.0 because of the problems associated with 6.6.1.

Re: Just upgraded to 6.7.0....
If your system is locking up try an OS Re-install. If that doesn't fix it it would be best if you could boot it to volume read-only mode and download the logs and send those in (see the Sending Logs link in my sig).

Re: Just upgraded to 6.7.0....
I was able to update my RNDP400U (Ultra 4 Plus) to 6.7.0 without issue. Was running 6.6.1 before.

What model NAS? Arm and x86 might behave differently.
I am definitely seeing the problem on my RN526x.
