Lion + autofs: anyone able to get it working?

I used to connect to my afp shares using autofs. I wanted to set up my NAS using this method again but can't seem to get it working. I've read several forum posts elsewhere that indicate the Lion/AFP autofs mounts aren't working. Is anyone here able to use this successfully?

Seems to really be a problem with AFP type automounts since I can get SMB automounts to work just fine here, whereas AFP automounts refuse to work.

NFS automounts via autofs appears to be working just fine too which is my prefered option (never tried with AFP)

Have also seen a number of complaints re. the mount_afp command not working properly under Lion - I'm guessing this is likely related

Mount_afp from the command line worked fine for me. In previous releases there were some problems with AFP auto mounts, too. I just can't remember what I had to do to make them work there, since I also prefer to use NFS automounts 😉
