Mis-reported system temperatures in OS 6.7.1

OK, I haven't upgraded to 6.7.4 or 6.7.5 beta yet.  If this is known to be fixed there, my bad.

On my 6-bay Pro models (Pro BE and Pro6), my Ultra6, and my RN516, the system temperatures are off.  I don't generally look at them much, so this may have happened earlier.  I noticed it because I had to turn everything o after a power outage.  It seems impossible that I have a hardware problem n all of them, so I think it must be software.

Now, here in Florida, it was getting a bit warm before the power came back on and the A/C got everything cooled down.  maybe 85°F (35ish C).  But the Pro6 models say the system temperature was 60°C when they started up.  The Ultra6 says 40, which is a bit better.  My 516 says 25°C.  No way was it that cool.  And they all went up just a bit and mostly leveled off.

My RN316 and Pro2  say they started up at 29°C or so, which may be just about right.  My 4200, which is in a warmer part of the house, says 35°C, which is probably also pretty close to real.

I have checked and /etc/sensors.d/system.conf seems to point to the right file on each of them.  The Pro6's also have pro6-fan.conf, but it just says ignore fan 3.

It's hard to say if it's a bias or scale factor issue, or both.  The temperature does go up and down a bit, following the CPU temp; but it's hard to tell if the variation is of the right magnitude.

Since the temperatures control what the fan does, I am more concerned about the 516 and the too-low temperature than the too-high ones.

It would be interesting to see how you find the numbers on 6.7.5 Beta.

Re: Mis-reported system temperatures in OS 6.7.1

My Pro6 temps and fans with 6.6.1:

CPU temp 30-35

SYS temp 45-55

HDD temps 30-32 (WD Reds)

CPUFan: ~1500  (Alpenföhn Silveretta with Noctua NF-A9x14 PWM)

Chassis fan: ~1300 (Nanoxia Deep Silent 120-1300)

Chipset fan: ~3000 (I applied 2pcs Cooltek 40x40x20mm fan to the big heatsink, cinnected with a splitter to the empty fan connector next to Chassis fan connector

My Pro6 temps and fans with 6.7.4:

CPU temp 38-40

SYS temp 56-60

HDD temps 37-40 (WD Reds)

CPUFan: ~800  (Alpenföhn Silveretta with Noctua NF-A9x14 PWM)

Chassis fan: ~1100 (Nanoxia Deep Silent 120-1300)

Chipset fan: ~3000 (I applied 2pcs Cooltek 40x40x20mm fan to the big heatsink, cinnected with a splitter to the empty fan connector next to Chassis fan connector

My Pro6 temps and fans with 6.7.5:

CPU temp 42-47

SYS temp 64-70

HDD temps 41-45 (WD Reds)

CPUFan: ~750  (Alpenföhn Silveretta with Noctua NF-A9x14 PWM)

Chassis fan: ~1100 (Nanoxia Deep Silent 120-1300)

Chipset fan: 2500-5000 (I applied 2pcs 40x40x20mm fan to the big heatsink, cinnected with a splitter to the empty fan connector next to Chassis fan connector

so new firmware show higher temps. Set fan mode makes nothing, same speed at Quiet, Balanced and Cool

There is any way to set fans to higher? Noctua fan original spec is 500-2200RPM, Nanoxia fan is 1300RPM

Or any way to set speeds for fan-modes?
