NAS RN104, No reset option in boot menu.
Just bought a RN10400 from marketplace.
previous owner obviously removed storage drives.
I inserted my own but get ERR: Used disks, Check Raidar
tried to do reset in boot menu by following ReadyNAS & ReadyDATA: Boot Menu - NETGEAR Support
but can't navigate to boot menu, only option I get is normal boot.
This was never connected to my devices, so can't see in Raidar ofc.
Can anyone guide if I can get it working or is it dead?
Thanks

Make sure you are using the factory default procedure on pages 28-29 here:
Note you can also power down, remove the disks, unformat them in a Windows PC, and then put them back. The NAS should do a factory uninstall when powered up with unformatted disks.

Re: NAS RN104, No reset option in boot menu.
Hi Steve,
Thanks for the response.
I have followed the steps on Page 29
but step 5(Press the Backup button to scroll through boot mode options.)
doesn't work for me. when I press the Backup button, it doesn't cycle through all the options and only option I see is Normal boot.
Am I doing something wrong?
I'll try to clean drives on a windows computer and respond.
