NV+2 windows share and user permissions
Hi
I have a new ReadyNAS NV+ v2 and am running 5.3.6 i connect to this from windows machines only. i have created a few accounts and put them in a group called master
My goal is to allow everybody to have read access and allow the master group of users accounts read write access to shares.
But it isnt working. ive tried selecting what i thought was right on the admin page for smb and disabling other protocols but it either ends up allowing read write for all or nothing for anybody.
The users always map a drive to the share so i know there connected, all other people should get ready access just by navigating via network
Any ideas what im doing wrong???
Thanks in advance
Derek

Re: NV+2 windows share and user permissions
Please check these in your admin UI page:
1) "Read Only" is ticked for Everyone;
2) "Read/Write" is ticked for master;
3) "Allow Anonymous access" is disabled.
