NV+ v2 Won't turn on...
Using 5.3.5 my NV+ v2 won't turn on (power button or WOL) after it has been shutdown via the Dashboard after x hours. In the past if I turned in back on fairly quickly either method would work (which I presume still works). If it's in standby for a day I have zero luck turning in back on. I have to cycle the power and then the power button works. In the past I have tried disk spin-down active and non-active and it didn't matter...

Re: NV+ v2 Won't turn on...
I'm now having the exact same issue with a DUO v2. It will wake up fine for several hours after being shutdown via the Dashboard. After that my WOL app still sees the DUO v2 but can't wake it up. Nor does the power button work. I have to unplug/replug the power cord to get the power button working again... won't boot up after 18 hours or so is my guess.

Re: NV+ v2 Won't turn on...
I guess no one else turns off their NV+ v2 or DUO v2 via Dashboard for a day or so? 🙂 I use mine mainly for media serving of which I don't do everyday so I shut it down between uses. Still having the same issue and it seems it takes over 12 hours before it stops working... I can live with it but I'd love to know if it's a software issue that can/will get addressed.
Even when it won't Wake Up my WakeOnLan app finds it online and one or more of the NAS LAN lights are lit. And as noted previously at this point the power button won't work as well so it's not just WOL.

I have had this issue with at least four different units... NV+ v2 and DUO v2. But to answer your question yes the OS has been installed a dozen times or more. 🙂

Re: NV+ v2 Won't turn on...
I have the same problem on my Duo V2. Sometimes after shutting down manually it will no longer respond to WOL or physical power button to turn on. I have to unplug and replug the power cable for it to work again. I also noticed that on manual power down the timer never wakes the device back up. This is on a new unit.

mikroft are you using the latest firmware, and if you power down manually the power timer will not work it as to power down by the power timer to power on automatically

I'm using the latest 5.3.5. Ahhh I didn't realize manually shutting down disables the timer. Thanks for that. Still concerned about the not being able to power it back on after manual shutdown though.

A newer version of the firmware for your ReadyNAS device is now available. Your ReadyNAS will download the update and send you further instructions once the download is completed.
Name: RAIDiator

Please reboot your ReadyNAS device to continue with the update process.
So I power it down to restart it and Nada. Power button does nothing at all.

Sorry, that's not related to this thread... but I must say I'm getting really tired of standby not working! Any chance for a Beta... it's been two months (for me) so far with no end in site.
FYI: Simple bug report. When you select Shut Down from the Dashboard the text says... Are you sure you want to restart your system? Just like it does when you click on Restart.

Nothing new on this issue... I'm getting close to dropping my various units and replacing them with x.

Have you opened any support cases? If so what has support had to say?

No, I haven't for two reasons...
- I have had the issue with roughly six different units (both NV+ v2 and DUO v2).
- I contacted support a couple of times regarding another issue I had installing the first unit. The experience was beyond non helpful - to the point of them telling me I didn't have a NV+ v2 even though it was printed on the front of my unit and refusing to offer any support. Once I barked up a level of support or two I was meet with... I have no way of offering any help just wait and see if it happens again.
Since it clearly isn't unique to one installation and frankly the level of support I received came so close to me dropping the product I'm fairly sure another dose would do it. Especially, considering the perceived level of support I would receive was a large basis for my original purchase(s).
I can't think for a moment they aren't aware of the issue and I have zero doubt this forum is scanned continuously. If it's hardware related I need to move on... software based and I'm willing to wait for x period of time.
