NVX Internet Access
When clicking on 'Check for updates' there is no response. ElephantDrive (who host Vault) want to confirm an Internet connection. I attempted to use old BitTorrent add-on as a test but no activity. I've updated RAIDiator to 4.2.30 and Vault add-on (which opens when clicked on) to 3.0.29, but to no avail.
I'm confident that my router is configured correctly. How can I confirm the Internet status of my NAS? Is 'Check for updates' or the BitTorrent add-on not working due to firmware/device no longer supported? Any help welcome!

Re: NVX Internet Access
Go into system->clock, and toggle the "Synchronize clock with the following NTP server" setting (uncheck it, apply, check it, apply). When you re-enable it, you should see a pop-up telling you that you successfully synchronized with an NTP server. If you see that, the NAS is reaching the internet.
If you use a static IP address, then check that the DNS setting is configured in the NAS (often people forget that). You can enter 8.8.8.8 (which is Google's DNS server).

Re: NVX Internet Access
Did as you instructed. When unticked box it displayed message 'System clock has been updated', though of course it hadn't. After ticking box again and Apply it displayed message 'Unable to connect to specified NTP server(s)'. I noticed the time is slow compared to my desktop, also configured with NTP.
I noticed in my router settings (DD-WRT) that CIFS is disabled, though it's never been an issue before, either for Internet access or creating/moving/editing files on NAS or between NAS and other devices on LAN.

That means the NAS is not reaching the internet.
Are you are using DHCP (or have you set up a static address for the NAS on it's configuration page)?

That's not a problem. The normal use for that is when you want to share a USB drive from the router.

What DNS server settings did you specify in Frontview?

Re: NVX Internet Access
156.154.70.1
156.154.71.1
209.244.0.3
Set or recommended by FlashRouters who configured my router; and by my VPN provider.

Re: NVX Internet Access
Maybe as a test, delete all those servers and try only 8.8.8.8.

Re: NVX Internet Access
I can confirm that DNS is not the issue as I noticed on Network > Interfaces > Default gateway that the field was blank, at which point I entered my new router's IP and my NAS began to backup to Vault immediately. Checking for updates also works fine, as does NTP.
Could a new router cause any config changes on the NAS?
After a couple of days of continuous backup, excluding going on standby as I have it set, when it booted to perform its weekly file system check and RAID scrub, rather than generate the automated e-mails I'm used to receiving (although I realised I haven't done so since setting up my new router, which must be due to the gateway setting), I received a Google e-mail stating they had blocked a sign-in attempt from what they refer to as a less secure app, and stating they will continue to do so unless I enable a setting allowing access to less secure apps.
Is this something I have to do or has the e-mail been generated due to configuration conflict, currently preventing the NAS from sending e-mail? This has also caused the backup to cease.

It sounds like you were using a static address on the NAS before. If so, the router has nothing to do with it.
A better approach is to reserve the IP address in the router, and configure the NAS to use dhcp.

It is something you have to do, and it is not new. In order to work with your primary gmail account you need to turn off two-factor authentication and enable less secure apps in your google security settings.
To clarify - the apps are "less secure" only because they know your gmail credentials. It is possible to create app-specific credentials in your google account, and use those instead.
