Ok, spent around 6 hours trying variouse things to get this working.
I have tried x4 ST4000DM000 4g seasgate HD, every drive I put in the unit reads "Corrupt Root"
I cant even click setup icon in the RAIDar program.
I called a friend who uses same unit, he said plug hard drive into it, then leave it for an hour, it will format the HD, did that, nothing happened.
One thing I do notice, none of the shutdown sequences work, holding power button down does nothing, the only way to turn it off is turn the power switch off!!
Rang the shop up and he said maybe it is part of the formatting process, that you cannot turn it off while it is formatting, I said it is doing nothing.... Just blinks on and off slowly.
At first the light blinks quick, then after few seconds light blinks slow, with HD's connected the only light showing is the power light blinking, and showing the disks as corrupted.
I though dam my HD's are stuffed, nope plugged them in without the READYNas, and they work fine.
Am I doing something wrong here, or is the unit I got the Friday special....
